Liz has been in account planning, market research and brand strategy for over 20 years. After graduating from the London School of Economics, and a short stint in publishing, she began her communications agency career in 1994 at BDH, Manchester (now TBWA). She then moved to Martin Williams Advertising in the USA to be on the Board and run the Account Planning department. While working for clients such as Target, LL Bean and E*TRADE, Liz pioneered creative thinking techniques and brand strategy development processes. After returning to the UK as a consultant, and then briefly back to TBWA, Liz set up Planning Express in 2007. Since then she has applied her expertise to a wide variety of consumer and business-to-business categories, well known brands and start-ups, as well as helping smaller agencies develop their own propositions and strategic processes, and training teams on the full set of strategic skills from insight mining to idea generation to presenting strategy.

Rebecca is a MMU Business graduate with 20 years account planning experience under her belt. For 10 years she worked at TBWA\Manchester (during the last 2 years as Planning Director), working across a variety of high profile accounts including Carex, Morrisons, ghd, and ODEON cinemas. Rebecca joined Planning Express in 2008 and has so far worked with agencies to develop effective planning processes, helped win pitches, trained teams on all aspects of the planning cycle and developed brand propositions and creative work that grow businesses and help organisations achieve their objectives. She works across a broad spectrum of clients, including fmcg, B2B, education, retail, leisure and health, including those with an international remit. Rebecca has come face-to-face with a whole raft of audiences including kind and clever nurses, pregnant smokers, friendly police officers, unhygienic chefs, innovative head teachers, diyers, holidaymakers, gym goers, animal lovers, and almost every type of tradesman - all in the name of planning.

Following a brief stint client side which involved Jaguar cars and electronic locks Clare has worked in agencies for 20 years. Her focus in the last 12 years has been on research and planning, generating insights and propositions that have helped secure and win business, as Planning Director at Madhouse Associates and for three years as Managing Director and Head of Planning and Strategy at A&P in Lancashire. With extensive experience in integrated and content strategy, Clare enjoys developing the proposition through to its strategic communications delivery, working with agencies to get the very best out of their creative and strategy teams. With experience in automotive, homebuilding, financial and manufacturing sectors Clare can quickly pick up the subject matter and get into the heart of the client brief.

Helen began her career as a qualitative researcher at Movement Research in London. Here she worked with ad agencies and clients such as Diageo, Coca-Cola, The Telegraph and BT, creating and executing research projects and workshops, ensuring direction for brand strategies and creative campaigns that delivered growth.
After 9 years, she left Movement as Associate Director in 2007, to become a Planner at TBWA\Manchester.
Most recently as Strategy Director at TBWA, she has led the Planning on a wide range of FMCG, retail and government clients, developing successful and highly effective brand and communication strategies for businesses including Merlin Entertainments, Seven Seas, BP, Remington and Westland Horticulture.
